Five-Year Mechanical Warranty: What It Means for 2026 INEOS Grenadier Owners
October 30 2026,
A warranty tells you a lot about how much confidence an automaker has in what it builds. INEOS backs the 2026 Grenadier with a five-year mechanical warranty, plus long-term protection for the chassis and body that runs well past that.
If you’re thinking about a Grenadier and plan to keep it for years, the warranty is worth understanding before you buy. Here’s what the coverage includes in Canada, how it connects to INEOS’s service and parts support, and what it means for different kinds of owners.

The Five-Year, 100,000 km Mechanical Warranty
The core of the package is the five-year, 100,000 km mechanical warranty. It covers the mechanical heart of the Grenadier, including the hardware that makes it such a capable 4x4.
INEOS builds that confidence on a long testing program. During development, 130 second-generation engineering prototypes covered 1.8 million kilometres across 15 countries, in every climate and on every kind of terrain. Engineers completed cold-weather engine calibration in northern Sweden and put prototypes through the punishing trails of the Schöckl mountain in Austria, one of the toughest 4x4 test grounds in the world. Around 350 engineers from INEOS Automotive, Magna Steyr and AVL worked on the program.
The Grenadier also uses components from well-known suppliers. The 3.0 L inline-six engine comes from BMW, the 8-speed automatic from ZF, and the two-speed transfer case is designed by INEOS and built by Tremec. Carraro supplies the solid beam axles, Brembo supplies the brakes and Bosch supplies the steering system.
The 12-Year Anti-Perforation Warranty
Rust is a real concern for any vehicle that spends its life on salted winter roads or muddy trails. INEOS addresses it with a 12-year anti-perforation warranty that covers the ladder-frame chassis and body components.
The construction supports that long term. The Grenadier sits on a full box-section ladder frame that is stiff, stable and corrosion-resistant, and it wears a galvanized steel body. The standard underride protection, including the front and rear skid plates, is e-coated and then powder coated for a second layer of protection against stone chips and scrapes.
Emissions, Parts and Accessory Coverage
The emissions warranty runs for five years and 100,000 km, matching the mechanical coverage. Parts carry a two-year warranty.
Accessories are covered for three years. That includes the wide range of INEOS accessories developed alongside the Grenadier, and they can be fitted by owners or installed through the INEOS aftersales network.
Service and Support Behind the Warranty
A warranty works best when service and parts are easy to reach. INEOS has built its ownership support around that idea:
- Service intervals: INEOS recommends servicing every 12 months, or every six months for vehicles used continuously in tough environments
- Roadside assistance: Included as standard with every Grenadier
- Parts supply: The service network keeps common parts on the shelf, and anything else ships by courier from a 6,000 m² global parts hub in Belgium, with more distribution centres in Australia and the U.S.
- Expert backup: “Flying Spanner” technicians from INEOS headquarters are on call when the service network needs extra support
INEOS also designed the Grenadier to be easy to work on, inside and out. Owners who like to handle their own maintenance get access to online 3D interactive manuals, with support from the technical team at INEOS headquarters.
Is the Grenadier’s Warranty Right for How You Drive?
For most owners, the five-year mechanical warranty lines up well with typical ownership. If you drive about 20,000 km a year, you’ll reach the 100,000 km mark right around the five-year point.
If you put on more kilometres, such as a long daily commute or regular road trips, plan for the kilometre limit to arrive first. Staying on top of the 12-month service schedule keeps your Grenadier in top shape through the whole coverage period.
Owners who use their Grenadier for heavy off-road work, farm duty or other demanding jobs should follow the six-month service interval INEOS recommends for tough environments.
For anyone planning to keep their Grenadier long term, the 12-year anti-perforation warranty is the standout. It keeps protecting the frame and body years after the mechanical coverage ends.
